Aladdin Jr.- November 2011
This show was a classic theater experience. Everything from the backstage drama to making the best friends of your life. I played Jasmine, and it was the first big role of my life. I just remember opening night when I ran into the lobby and my best friend was there with open arms to congratulate me. I kept repeating over and over,"I did it! I did it! I did it!" This show was double cast as well so I got to work backstage for the shows that I wasn't in. The flying in the show was so much fun too. We had a professional company come in for the magic carpet. I got to get out of school early to go tot her rehearsals which were always so much fun. Little kids would always ask if I was actually in a relationship with the guy who played Aladdin, Anirudh. But in reality, we actually never really talked backstage, like at all. But he was super sweet and fun. There was also a ton of backstage drama. but I won't get into that. You all can only imagine!
