Let Me Be Your Star

This is me and my beautiful friend Cara singing Let Me Be Your Star from Smash. I'm singing the Karen part and she's singing the Ivy part. This was a really tough venue to sing in. This was a gala for the new opening for the Forever After Black Box Theater. The building was still under construction so it was unbelievably dusty, and the space was so big and Cara and I didn't use microphones so it was hard to fill the space, I was singing at the top of my lungs and you can still barely hear me. But enough complaining! This was an incredible opportunity and I absolutely loved working with the rest of the cast. We only rehearsed one day a week and those rehearsals were seriously, the highlights of my weeks. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Five For All Forever

This is me performing my favorite dance I've ever been in. It's Five Forever from Little Women the Musical. i played Amy. 

I remember when we were trying to choreograph this with our director and she was super worried about how we were ever gonna learn it. The little hand-clap parts took us basically 30 minutes alone. But we ended up learning it in one rehearsal, and she was so relieved. She told us that we saved her from many, many sleepless nights.

Get it Right

This is me singing Get it Right from Glee. This was at a rehearsal for a benefit concert for the American Heart Association that my vocal coach puts on every year.

The whole time I was learning this I had a terrible case of bronchitis and every time I would try to practice and I couldn't sing it. I just remember getting so frustrated and worried that I would never be able to sing it. Then right after I sang this, in this very video nobody applauded for what felt like forever. Then finally my great friend Brendan got up and started clapping, and you can see my reaction.

Amayzing Mayzie

This is me performing as Mayzie in a local community production of Seussical Jr.. This was in March on 2012, so it's kinda old but still one of my favorites! i never knew why but this number always made me so out of breath, it was kind of a workout. Totally worth it, and so much fun.

In the number I am telling my friend Gertrude about how I got too have such  fabulous, feathered tail. Gertrude on the other hand has a not-so-fabulous tail that she is looking to change. With the help of my bird-girls, I told tehe story!
